Rekia Boyd
was shot and killed on March 21, 2012 in Lawndale, Chicago. Detective Dante Servin was at the site following an alleged report of a disturbance. After a verbal exchange Detective Servin opened fire on Boyd and others at the scene, killing Boyd. Detective Dante Servin was cleared of all charges on April 20, 2015.
